Most of the enquiries we get are regarding recovery of photos or other important data. The first thing we ask is: "Where is your back-up?".

In our experience less than 10% of people actually back-up their precious data.

Most people just never get round to it. Some think it is too expensive. Or maybe too complicated.

A back-up solution can easy to select, easy to install and much cheaper than paying us to recover data!

With a wide range of options available, from a basic USB Pen Drive to multi disk NAS raid drives there is something there to suit everybody.

Taking in to account the amount of data to back-up, how fast that amount is growing, how fast you need to be able to restore the data and many other things we are happy to help you choose and install the most suitable solution.

 

USB Pendrives
These are small, easy to use back-up devices. 8GB pendrives can be purchased for under £10. That's a lot of data and a small price to pay for peace of mind. There is a tendency to think that pendrives are too small to back-up a lot of data but pendrives are available up to 512GB! The downside to using a pendrive is that people tend to use them for something else or loose them.

External Hard Drives
Most external hard drives connect to your computer via USB. Not as portable as a USB pendrive they tend to be used as intended and not "Borrowed". With sizes from 2TB to 4TB or even 8TB these are more than adequate for the vast majority of home or small business users.

NAS
Network Attached Storage are an excellent way to hold data. They can back-up several computers via your home or business network. Set to do this at scheduled times they take no user intervention so you don't even have to remember to do it! They can range in size from 4TB up to 40TB or more.
